CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS... JET Band Boosters needs you! The most current listing of Booster Officers, Committee Chairs, and contacts is available here.  Please look over this list and see if there's a committee for which you'd like to volunteer, then e-mail or phone that committee's booster contact for more information.

SILENT AUCTION TIME!

Our Silent Auction will be held in conjunction with the Holiday Concert this year. And, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Mark December 6th your calendar! I would love to know if you can coordinate the basket collections for your child's band?

We will need lots of volunteers in the following areas: 
  • 1 to 2 One or two Coordinators from EACH BAND to collect items to make a basket(s) for the Auction
  • Prepare items the week of Nov. 30-Dec. 5
  • Set-up on the afternoon of the concert at 2:35PM on Dec. 6
  • HELP!!! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to collect items for the Silent Auction on December 6th (the evening of our Holiday Concert).

COLOR GUARD COSTUMES

We have an on-going need for repair work!

 

If you are a parent (moms, dads, grandmas, aunts, cousins...anyone) with some skill on a sewing machine who can SEW, let us know! If you can sew a zig-zag, curve, circle or just a straight line...Color Guard needs your help! This saves the Taylor Band program $$$$ thousands of dollars each year!  If you think last year was great, the show this year will blow your mind. This is only made possible through your tremendous support.

FINANCE & AUDIT COMMITTEE  VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 

The Finance Committee is made up of 4-6 people who meet periodically during the year (often by E-mail). This committee is also responsible for putting together the budget for the following year. You must have a student in the current 2011-2012 band program to serve on the Finance Committee.  (A Finance or Accounting background is not mandatory, but helpful.)
 
The Audit Committee is made up of 3 people, none of whom have served on the current Finance Committee. The committee's sole purpose is to examine the books at the end of the fiscal year  The audit takes approximately 2 hours and will happen around the middle of June.  This is not a difficult task and does not require a Finance or Accounting background. However, you will be checking the band's accounting books to make sure that everything has been recorded in the proper manner.
