Jazz Ensemble ____________________________________________________________________

The Jazz Ensemble at Taylor High School meets as a class during the school day.  Members receive instruction in all jazz styles as well as improvisation.  Instrumentation is strictly controlled and an extensive audition is required for admittance to the class. Auditions are held during the first week of the school year. Any student at Taylor High School may audition for piano, guitar, bass, and drums. All other members of the jazz ensemble must also be members of the marching band as well as a concert band performing ensemble.
